Meeting both Fred and Illyria...

I saw her first time when they were introducing the guests at the opening ceremony, I got so excited I waved to Amy, and she waved back... lol, I'd never met her before or anything I just felt like waving... silly, I know...

I had a low enough ticket number to get into that evening's autograph session, with Amy in it and ince it was a small con I got to take my present with me to the table, something I never thought I could :) And when I got to her table I handed her the gift, which was two drawings, one of Fred in Pylea and one of Illyria, both were framed. Amy loved them both and she wrote thank you in my Angel diary. And then she signed the photos I was gonna give to friends. And on one of them she was really sweet cause I told her it was from a guy who really wished he could meet her, but he couldn't afford going to conventions and she wrote "Hope to meet you one day". (I sent it to him in the mail a couple of weeks ago and he was so touched when he got it).

I also told her I was dressing up as Illyria the following day and she went "Oh, you're gonna be a better Illyria than me... I haven't done it in so long..." lol, to which of course I objected... lol

And then I saw her next at the Illyria photoshoot, to which I was dressed up as Illyria myself. I asked her if I could get a hug, which I could (not everybody can say they've gotten a hug from Illyria... lol) and then the photographer asked us to look towards him. Sadly I'm not allowed to post the picture, some copyright thing with the make-up.

And on Sunday I went to her regular photo session, also dressed up as Illyria (I decided to go both day and night, seeing as I wouldn't get much time to change... plus it made me stand out... lol) and when she saw me she told me she loved my costume. I had been told by other guests the night before that she had really been moved when she saw the Illyria costumes (there were 3 of us). I also got a couple of words with her as she passed me in the hallway after the big group shot, she asked me if I had seen Andy perform the night before and I had told her I had gone to bed at 2 and then found out when I got there that day that he had been there. She promised me she would ask Andy to do another appearance at that nights disco :) (I found out he came on after I went to bed that night too... lol, my luck just wasn't with me was it?)

I was up at the mic both days, and I asked about things like the screentest she did, that's on the season 3 dvd, if it was ever planned as an episode. She said that Joss had originally thought an idea with it. If you haven't seen this, do the moment you can, it's hillarious. It's Fred trying to handle both Wesley and Gunn coming on to her in a very Shakespearian way (as though they were posessed by the guy himself), it's hillarious....

And I got to tell her how much her performance in A Hole in the World moved me. And I did get to ask her who she thinks is Freds soulmate :) To which of course the answer was Wesley :)

And we did get to know that Joss is doing an Angel film with Spike and illyria :D
