JENNY MOLLEN Airguitaring on the dancefloor... I just need to say it, Jenny made it to my favourite con guest list. I absolutely adore her! There I said it. The story starts on the friday evening as I was walking around the hallway, looking for familliar faces, and I saw Bonnie, a girl I had talked to a bit. She was standing there looking at a little group of people, in the middle of them, stood Jenny, chatting with everyone. Bonnie really wanted to talk to Jenny, but she didn't want to be rude or anything. I told her we could at least move our way towards her and if it felt right we could say hi. Luckily there was little need for us to say anything, cause it didn't take long before Jenny had included both me, Bonnie and the guy next to Bonnie (wish I remember the name, but I don't). I don't remember much of my part of the convo, ause Jenny really was going back and forward with everyone. I'm still amazed on how including she was. She talked to Bonnie for a while and then she turned to some other people and then me. I think she asked me where I was from or something. She must have, concidering she ended up knowing, and I'm not a person who tells everyone where I'm from without them asking... lol. She was so energetic and eagerly interessted in all of us. Bonnie had told me she had made herself a werewolf-Nina costume and I thought Jenny would love to hear about it, so I let her know. And then we all looked through Bonnies old con photos, which weren't few, let me tell you. I stood there immensely jealous. Seriously she had filled out an entire folder with just photos and autographs from events. When we got to her photo with Tom Lenk, Jenny told us he was her neighbour and I told her about how he was like at Fusion, how he had asked where in Norway I was from and pretended to write it down. Jenny just laughed. As the group got more and more crowded I didn't want to be that one-too-many person around Jenny, so I backed a bit off and started chatting with her mom, Peggy. I asked her about what it was like for her to see her daughter so surrounded and admired by so many people and seeing her on tv and such. I also told her about how my sister's name's Nina and I think I mentioned the wallpaper I made with the line "No Nina, bad Nina" on it and that I had showed it to my mom. And I also told her I had made a protrait of Jenny that she was going to get. While me and Peggy where talking Dennis Christopher came up to us and started chatting with us for a while, then my ticked number was called for the autgraph session and I had to go. I don't remember if it was before or after the autograph session that Jenny had to go, but I did get a goodbye hug from her before she left for the green room.
And that was far from the last time I saw her. I met up with her and her mom, I was mostly talking to Peggy, cause Jenny had found a couple of German people and was chatting with the *in* german, as she had lived there a year (which I found out the day after). But Peggy was great fun as well. The following day I was in the hallway and I was talking to this girl who was very shy and taken back when she saw me saying hi to the guests passing and such, to her it probably seemed like I knew them well. And I felt a bit bad for her and I tried to set up a "meeting" between her and Jenny, since Jenny's so very including and would really make her day. But as I was going around her, so that I had my back turned, Jenny passed us and we said hi. And then there was someting displayed on the table right next to Jenny which I wondered what was, so I went up and asked the stewards, who told me these were Jennys paintings. And then I had to ask what kind of paint. It turned out to be acrylic, the same type that I used to paint and we talked a bit about that and then some more people joined us and we sat as a little group on the floor and started talking about a bunch of things, everything from languages, where Jenny told us about how she lived in Germany and France a year and she told us about her dog that she had named after I think it was a neighbour or something, as a joke. And while we were talking about France and Germany she started comparing them to the US and how different everything was, like how people were more relaxed here and in the US was the nation of fear. I asked her if the propagande sometimes made her scared and she told me no, because she was very aware on how it's all about controlling the people, by pointing out enemies everywhere. It was really interessting to hear about it.
I really don't know any way to sum her up, she reminds me a lot of my favourite cousin (who's like an extra sister to me), because she's a lot of fun and she's always smiling and such, but she's really deep and reflects a lot about her surroundings. And a couple of funny things I learned that weekend, she's actually far from the party-girl she seemed to be the night before, her favourite pasttime is to sit in front of the tv... lol, AND the most important one, the girl's a B/A shipper! Figure that... lol
