Fred and Wesley is the Romeo and Juliet of Angel. Fred is the heart of the Angel team and Wesley's loved her from the very first moment. It wasn't until the last season that things started really going their way, but tragedy came too soon and first we found Fred dying in Wesley's arms, her body being taken over Illyria, one of the old ones. Being heartbroken, Wesley took care of Illyria, hoping in some way he could get Fred back, but learning more and more that it wasn't something he could do. However Illyria kept more than just Fred's memories and when Wesley lay dying in her arms, she took on Fred's form for Wesley's sake, so Fred's face was the last thing Wesley saw before he died. It's in my opinion impossible to watch the last season and not fall for Fred and Wesley. It's so devastatingly beautiful and you feel angry because they didn't get more time than they did.
